Tacoma Division Local Train Brief

Train: No. 1283 Vancouver-Centralia

Frequency: Daily except Sunday.

Purpose: Makes morning side trip to Rye to pick up loads LP&N Railroad set out. Performs local switching Vancouver to Chehalis. Sets out and picks up at Longview Jct. and, when necessary, blocks cars at Rocky Point for 1/679 pickup..

Traffic Handled: Lumber and lumber products, chip loads and empties, various loads and empties.

Schedule: On duty Vancouver 6:00 AM.

Except Mondays 7:00 AM

Connections: First 679 (North, East, Auburn and Seattle cars at Rocky Point or Centralia).

Terminal Handling Vancouver only Ampere and Rye cars, usually caboose hop out of Vancouver.

On-Line

Performance: Local switching enroute. Trip to Rye is AM for LP&W loads.
